Loktite retaining compound will do the job perfectly. .

That's the 648? I should know this considereing we use a ton of different Loctite brand thread lock and retaining compounds, some green, some red, I might have to raid the tool crib tonight at work LOL.

You can use Loctite 648, 638 & 603. Their all high strength retainers that arnt going to come apart doing this simple job. 648 is the higher temp out of the 3 though.

there's no way that tube is coming out, i epoxied it in real good, i mean i might be able to dremal it out

If you ever want to remove a stuffing tube

turn the hull upside down and heat the brass tube, it will slide right out of the epoxie you will be amazed.

slip in the new stuffing tube coated with some clear epoxie so it will not leak.

the origional epoxie will still appear origional, you will not know the stuffing tube was ever replaced.

Yes i use a soldering iron to heat the brass tube then twist & pull out, really simple to get out.

Yeah i have an S bend, not quite as much as the red example, more like the blue.

If I had a boat with a "S" bend, I would just keep heating and twisting, it will still come right out......

the "S" bend really does not matter.......

the strut gets removed first of course.
