Neat FE setup calculator

Some of you may know Ryan, been on RCU for years, is on here as well intermittantly and knows his stuff, he has started a Forum too, but came up with this setup calculator for FE. Scroll down to click the "get started" button and try it out............i think it may need just a bit of tweaking and told him so cuz it doesnt offer Castle motors as an option..............Castle ESC's though.

Oh, btw, the first option is to determine hull.............scroll to the second one if you already know your hull type

What do you mean exactly by foreign speed rating?

Pretty cool Ryan. It's a little different than it was when I ran some models through it last summer...do you still have the other calculator or is this what it turned into?

I think Larry is speaking in regards to the speed units being km/h...that's foreign to us.

This is a completely new/fresh development. It's been live for 36 something hours now. I have not yet placed links on that site to the application/calculator as I'm still trying to be certain there are no silly errors. Like telling you the best Brushless motor for your hull is a syntax error.

All other content that you have seen in the past is still there.

If that is all that is meant for the speed comment, it shouldn't be too hard to fix. I'll see what I can do.

Yes, what Keith said. No offense intended. Im just not that bright with mathematical conversions. Maybe use both mph and km/h?

To every 1MPH there is 1.6KMH so 60MPH = 100Kmh there abouts , give a fraction or two. ....

I just take, lets say, 900mm for example, and multiply the "9" by 4 = 36"............pretty close.

Really cool but obviously needs some tweaking still. A 36" mono at 26-37mph wants a 240 swordfish and a leopard 5692?? Heck that is mucho hp and should do 75+++mph. If I drop it to a 35" hull I now need only a 120esc and a 4082???

No offense taken. If I overlook something as simple as that, I want to fix it. Around the time you trying it out, there was not even a non metric length box.

Thanks for the catch Snowride, that's exactly what I need at this point. There will be certain jump points that may make one say wow, but this setup at such a weak speed is indeed excessive.

This should be fixed as with all metric values can be seen with there equivalent non metric values.

If anyone finds something that doesn't make sense, please let me know. If the setup is unsafe it's more urgent.

it told me my 32" hull was good for 4s, i think thats pushing the amps a little, im running 6s
