    Need help selecting suitable ESC.

    Hey Guys,

I'm about to purchase my first boat and it's also my first electric RC.

What I need help with is choosing an ESC to accompany a Graupner 700BB Turbo 8.4v.

My aim is to run the 700BB from a 10/12cell pack, which I've heard the motor can handle quite comfortably with water cooling, what I need is a suitable ESC for this.

I was told that the Jeti JES 045 plus was a good ESC for the job but I thought the specs where a bit below par, CLICK HERE FOR SPECS

    What would you recommend?

    Thanks
    Jonny

Would you recommend the Jeti Navy 600 over an RC-Hydros speed controller?

It's a modified Kyosho bladerunner, should be good for my 1st boat :)

don't have any firsthand experience w/ the victory... I did note that the rc-hydro's(victory) manual specifically does not reccomend am radios. I've heard that they are very good esc's. think you're gonna have to just pick one (coin flip, whatever). note that brushed motors don't generally last long if you try to push more than say 40amps through them for any length of time.
