Sorry, but you're asking for trouble. Cable will develop "whip" , will break and eat the end of the stuffing tube (or worse). If your motor mount isn't able to be moved, replace the stuffing tube with a longer one. Brass tubing is inexpensive, & removing the old one can be accomplished with some heat where it's glued in and a small tap hammer to break it loose applied to one end in the direction it's mounted. I usually only have 1/2" - 3/4"or so space between the stuffing tube and collet.

I have over 6000 posts between various forums. There are probably another 2000 that were lost on one of the Canadian forums that crashed and burned. There are a number of psychopaths like myself that type fast and like to help when we can.

I love that user name. However, these guys may be right. You might not get real responses. Before I was using my actual name in my user name I was RC-Junky. Not sure what happened to those posts. When RRR crashed and we all had to re-register (2004 maybe) I decided to just use my name. Then people get to know you better. Or in some cases, get to hate you better. haha I get both.

One of the beauties of this FE hobby and especially on this ose forum is that we share ideas and are excited by new comers. There is great satisfaction in advising a noob into a reasonable set up that has a high probability of success. Ideally seasoned vets keep recommendations to experienced oriented and if that "vet" is a racer, they are more likely to do such.

You will be surprised at how much GOOD feedback you will get here! That said, until you get a feel for who is giving good advice, multiple opinions is a good idea.

I have had good luck here with getting help so far, and the name is due to this boat, and it breaking down all the time. My RC is much cheaper to buy parts for,but not quite as fast...
