There is a reason lot of seasoned racers actually pre-heat their lipos, it lowers internal resistance of the packs. Things like this are just not needed, but because it is marketed for the "Spartan" tons of people will buy them. Only reasons lipos get extermely hot is if they are not capable of providing enough amps in the system they are being used in, then they overheat and puff. There lipos seem to be highly priced, if I ever dish out the coin for expensive packs it will be TP or Hyperion packs, for now I'll stick to my HK and Hobbypartz lipos!

Agreed. If I was to actually spend big bucks on lipos, I would get Hyperions. But 1) I don't race, and 2) My boss (wife) would kick my ass if I spent that much on batteries. It would just open up the door for "well, now I get to go shopping." The married (and divorced) guys know where that leads, lol.

I only sport boat so I just stick with the turnigy packs and I still get grief about how much they cost. My wife just doesn't understand, she just thinks it's a plastic boat doh!Originally posted by kookie_guy View PostAgreed. If I was to actually spend big bucks on lipos, I would get Hyperions.
