Why? If you bought it from OSE, we would have helped get it taken care of.Steven Vaccaro

Yea I should have, I had purchased a few other products for my miss geico from this company and they had always treated me well so I figured I would switch it up a bit and order my motor and ESC through them. If I order another one it will be through OSE this time though, yall have always treated me well and supported all of the products i have purchased from you in the past.Originally posted by Steven Vaccaro View PostWhy? I didnt buy it from you, Steve. I think I got it from HobbyKing when I first got into FE. I should have said in my earlier post that you try to help customers with problems with products they buy from you.Originally posted by Steven Vaccaro View PostWhy? Swordfish 200's work good too, but they have around a 1 second delay when you let off the throttle. Not really a big deal if your running in a "larger" body of water-or you just get used to it and run accordingly. The T-180's are a good workhorse esc though too.

I race a swordfish 200. The delay is not a full second. But the is a delay. It's built in to help burn ups.Steven Vaccaro

Doesn't matter Steve, the SF esc's are really nice!! They really don't heat up much at all.

did you check the connectors between the esc and motor? if any of it got loose ...the motor still working?, when motor stutter most of the time the connectors is loose and because of that it heat up the motor if continuously pulling the throttle.Stiletto tunnel,EPV135 (53") twin cat, CT06"Spirit of Qatar", FD 47" mono, Twin Mini Cat 23.5"

Yes I checked all of the connectors. The reason the motor stutters is because of a loss of a phase and therefor timing. The same thing happens when the ESC goes out. This was all brand new equipment and I had not gone 10 feet from the dock. I retrieve the boat with my kayak paddle. I have not tested the motor for function yet but I will hook it up to another ESC soon and see what happens.

The motor could have shorted out internally and fried the ESC too. If that's the case, you'll fry the next ESC you hook it up to as well.
Be careful. If the motor stutters when you try it on another ESC with fully charged batteries STOP right away. You may wind up letting the smoke out of that ESC as well.

Stinger9D9,
That was something I was looking for. I put another seaking 180 in my miss geico with the exact same setup and have 6 or so runs on it now. All runs great and my miss geico is faster than ever. Guess the first one really did just have a problem somewhere inside.
