I'm planning to do a small twin mono and weight would be crucial.

Yes you can, make a parallel connector for the esc's to the battery.

I'm planning to build a smaller mono (DF26) with twin 380 outrunners

Any thoughts on it? Would there be some issues?

make sure you can locate counter rotating props for it.
for a boat that small, I would go with a very good quality wire drive set up.
( I dont thinnk anyone make reverse rotation .150 flexshafts.) ( I use 3/16" flex shafts in mine)

my motors are mounted aproximately 3/4" from each other.

the 26 might be a bit small with all that is neededfor the twin build.
I would go with a 29" hull.

make your stuffing tube bends nice and smooth, set your struts even with the keel (bottom)
of the boat.

once everything is all together and to your liking, power it up onthe bench for a quick test run up
and enjoy the music. :-)

Why twin? Just something you want to do? Twins are cool but a single with a bigger motor is gonna be as fast/ faster with less set up and headache. Just my opinion of course. Not pushing around a whole lot of hull so I see no need for twins. But if its something you just want to do go for it.

I'll be doing the twin just for the cool factor. The sound of twin and the challenge of building it is just too tempting Not too concern about speed as long as it goes on a plane quick

Have been wanted to do a twin for a while and was not sure what size to do without breaking the bank......

Yeah the DF26 might not be roomy but I've give it some thoughts and the parts that I am collecting should fit it. If I use a single battery there'll definitely be room for another
