Trying to get my df33 running top speed. Best i Can do is 45 mph on x645 with 2s + 3s in series for 5s1p. Also, running neu 1515 1.5y 1500kv hull looks good in the water flys level when airborne cog appears to be right. Its close to 30%. Will it make a difference running 5s2p? Also, how do you wire for that? Do you have to make parallel adapters? Any help heRe would be much appreciated. Thanks, frank

Run 6s with an X447/3. That'll wake it up to around 60mph with cool temps. Play with COG and it'll handle good and you'll be happy.

You might get in to the low 50s with the 1515 , i have the same hull & started with a 1515 , its a tad small for that hull if you want better speeds , im running a leopard 4082 1500kv on 6s , with speeds in the high 50s , low 60s with no heat issues .UL1- 1515 castle/neu / 240 swordfish
SV27- with UL1 running gear

www.kershawdesigns.com has the 4082 your looking for. OSE is out of stock on them. Do you want to sell your Neu 1515?

Get the 1600kv. It's the same, just a different lable. I have one in my DF 33 and love it. If you sell me your Neu, you can offset the cost of the Leopard.

Didn't know kershaw was out of stock. Sorry for misleading you. www.southriverrcboats.com sells them, but, they too are out of stock. You can post a WTB for one. The 1717 runs nice in these hulls too. I think Johnson22456 has one for sale in the swap shop. Run it with an X447/3 or an X450.

To Low a KV for 5s. I run it with a 2100 kv motor. 1515/1y and it screams on a 45/55 abc. close to sixty. 4s2p 6600mah.
This is a great 4s boat. Even running it on a UL1 with a 45/55 you should see 45.
Great LSO.

I place 2 batteries laying down next to each other against the transom and put the motor 1/2" to 1" in front of them. You just have lay out different locations with components to get the COG right. Batteries will be the biggest player in adjusting this. Make it so you can fudge them fore and aft.
