    lipo shield and schulze

i have a v16 40.160wk schulze controller and i want to install a lipo shield by dimension engineering...the schulze has 2 positive and 2 negative wires so how would i install the lipo shield? the instructions only mention soldering to esc's that have only one posivie and one negative wire..i suppose i can solder the positive and negative leads together first but i really did not want to modify the schulze in any way...the schulze does not have a lvc cutoff built in correct?

Thats a great question. Since the 40.160 is not a stacked FET board esc I would assume it doesnt matter but there are 2 wires in each polarity. I cant answer your question with certainity but if you have a multi meter and both your wires in each polarity have a seperate bullet try measuring them in a resistance setting. Like 200 ohms. Both my 40.160's have been terminated with a single 8mm bullet so it would do me no good to try. Got a meter?

      john,

hopefully i can borrow a multimeter from work tomorrow and see the resistance...i figured a lot of guys would be running a lipo cutoff with these esc's to prevent lipo mishaps...it may work fine by installing just to one lead of positive and negative but i am unsure

Tyler would know right off the bat. Peter Z too. I just modified the 40.160 I got from Rich to one bullet. Yesterday I could have given you the answer for sure. Today, I'm going to have to wait from those in the know.
