I have both, they are both fun and fast
... IMO the SV27 handles better in the turns out of the box... The BJ26 handles rough water better out of the box.... I was not really happy with the BJ26 until I did a hardware upgrade
.. That made it a wonderful little kitty!! Each hull has its up's and down's....Both will blow your Villain 7.2 right out of the pond!!
Nothing like keeping you lipos warm and your prop wet!!

the thing is i dont want to do an upgrade right away.i put some money into a charger (bantam bc6)for lipos so i can use it for the boat and some cars. saying that what do you think as far as the boat goes? also for $400-$500 could i build a boat with no experience(brushless).thanx this site is graet.

It depends on the size of the boat and what speed u are looking for. Here a hull can cost inbetween $80-$675 its all up to u in how much u spend. A premade hardware system can cost $50-$95 or a custom system can cost u probably $60-$90 and Props are $5-$45. And a Brushless ESC will run from $23-$255 and a Brushless motor will run $60-$400. But if u want a premade Brushless system heres one. But remember its up to u on how much u spend and how much u want to put in the boat.Failure is the First step to SUCCESS

tanx for all the links and info. i will look into a build with a mono hull that can get into the 30-35 mph range.may take me a while but its winter so i have the time. also i would like to get a hull that is 35 inch or so, ose looks to everything i will need.

You would be happy with both 33" hulls. The SV27 power system is not going to cut it for a hull of that size and weight.. Look at Feigao 11XL and 12XL, they will work w/ those hulls...Mabey a Hydra 120 esc or OSE has new 100A esc's w/ usb programmer (somewhere around $100) that should be on the site soon...Nothing like keeping you lipos warm and your prop wet!!

You will learn alot and be more happy in the end, building one of these 33" V-hulls...They will handle rougher water and be more stable overall compared to the SV and BJ...Nothing like keeping you lipos warm and your prop wet!!

Go with the 100Amp!!I have run a 11XL in the Aeromarine Titan 33" with a Hydra 120 and X447 and X645 with speeds of 44-48mph.. The Titan is a pretty heavy with 4S2P 5000's, the 11XL will allow you to run a large prop w/ less amps and heat!Nothing like keeping you lipos warm and your prop wet!!
