Hey k.r , your avatar looks like atlas van lines exiting the rooster tail turn behind belle isle. It's just a guess.

Thats what i did...............pics above.Originally posted by K.R.Joye View PostBest way is to find some good aluminum plate & angle and make your own mounts. Most motors can be securely mounted off the shaft-side end bell face(even the big ones). You just need to the right gauge mat'l and good quality fasteners.
Magnum, i got it from nitrorcx.com, was a gasser, bought it without the engine.

If the big 3 pound 2028 is going to be back near the current stuffing tube location you will need to put the batts way forward............i wish i had moved my motor forward a couple inches, but I have six 3s 5000 batts way up in the cockpit to offset it and get the cog up. It'll just be easier if its farther forward but it will still work....................
Here's my battery area.........4 fit neatly into the old gas tank tray.

i`ve heard these boats are on the light side up front while under way . the only way i can move the motor up a few inches is to extend the coupler , i`m not convinced that will be a good idea . is it ?

You can extend the stuffing tube and use a longer flexdrive. I may go to that myself one day.............but its workin' good as it is.Originally posted by magnum500sw View Posti`ve heard these boats are on the light side up front while under way . the only way i can move the motor up a few inches is to extend the coupler , i`m not convinced that will be a good idea . is it ?NEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? Here's where i got one for my other 2028(made the first one), it shows 0 in stock, but he may have some, not always up to date. But if not, he can make you one and get it to you in a couple weeks.
