WANTED: something like a Villain... but better

I get off on the counter rotating steerable surface drives. Purists and pros may not like this setup, but I don't care; it is just want I want.
I definitely want electric and a deep vee. Fiberglass would be nice and the main reason I would upgrade (if you can call it that, I destroyed my Villain a few years ago and tossed the hull - kept the guts).
Something slightly bigger would be cool too.
I'd rather build it myself, although I am more a mechanic than an artist. So gel coating or whatever would suck. I like stickers :D

If someone could recommend a hull, kit, and/or components from OSE or anyone else, I'd super appreciate it!

This video shows what I intend to do with it (beat the living tar out of it!). This video also shows how I separated and effectively ruined my Villain (pre EX).

Man that video is CRAZZZZY!!! Look at the Titan 33" at OSE.... It is a good rough water hull!! Lots of fun!!
Nothing like keeping you lipos warm and your prop wet!!

      That hull looks sweet!
Could I put two of these suckers on it?

      And a single turn fin?
What is with that huge hole in the hull?

          Nice vid man !
Given the conditions in your vid, the hull you pictured would be perfect. The hole is a flood chamber that make the hull self righting. When the boat is upside down, it fills with water and rolls the boat over, then the forward motion drains all the water! Nt sure if it would be ideal for twins though,,,maybe.

It seems to me that my dream hull would have a deeper vee and more freeboard (higher gunwales) than the Ttitan 33"... and be more than just 2 inches longer than a Villain.
I'd like something a bit more scale, I guess.

I like that self righting feature, however! That is pretty trick.
On my Villain, I'd just let it fill with water a bit, turn the wheel and giver her juice (as you can see in the video). She rights up and I can get her home for some draining.

I just hate prop torque. The main benefit of the counter rotating props is stability and consistency from what I have witnessed (and a little bit of pilot time with single screw boats of a similar type). And from big boat experience as well. I grew up on the river and have driven everything from sea going tugboats to 140 mph drag boats. From 6' dinghies to 48' yachts.

This is normally a nitro boat but just get the hull, maybe find a used hull and make it electric.

There has been some people on here that have done this or is in the process of doing this.

keep in mind the bigger the boat the more expensive the power train
The Manx has been sitting dormant, but I think I finally have my motivation back. I hope to see it float soon.
