Read Sailr's post about blown up Turnigys. Anyone know of a good source for ammo cans? Figure I'll get smart before anything bad happens- thanks.

Amazon is a good place to start looking. Local gun shows allways have them on display for sale.

On my small batteries I have only the female Deans connectors, and the male connectors of my larger batteries have shrink tubing covers on them. Besides, the boxes are not bare metal - they are covered inside and out with a rust resistant paint. No worries.Originally posted by Jabbo View PostDo you ever worry about accidentally shorting out a battery against the metal box?Legend 36 sailboat, KMB Powerjet Ed Hardy Viper, ABC jet pwrd BBY Oval Master, ABC Hobby Jetski, NQD Tear Into's, HK Discovery 500, MickieBeez pwrd Jet Rigger!, Davette/Gravtix jet sprint, KMB Powerjet Pursuit, NQD pwrd Jet Catamaran!,Steam pwrd African Queen, Sidewinder airboat, Graupner Eco Power

I just picked two uptoday actually, I got them from gander mountain for $10 each. Mine are in lipo sacks and then in the box for extra security.
