OK, gonna be buliding the Skunk Cat 30"er here in a few days....Im placing my "build' order with steven...Anything I am missing? I got glue...Motor mount....stuffing tube.....tape....z-poxy for the motor mount....flex cables....bullitt nuts.......

I know I need a pipe bender.....But I guess i'll have to get that from somwhere else. Im headed to my Mom's for Christmas today i'll check when I get back and place this order tonight. Thanks guys! Happy Holidays seeya!!!!!

some 5-6oz fiberglass cloth to reinforce your epoxy with? doesn't need to be anything superdooper(if no one will see it) I've got a packet of 'glass tape that I found in the auto dept of the hardware store that I use for beefing up epoxy joints.

Rex, I was planning to just suround the motor mount in epoxy, maybe using a O-ring to make sure it does not spill out all over. I figured I could just layer it on a few times at most and it would be fine. But this is my first real build using just a cat hull that was not pre drilled, so I wanna know before I make a mistake that costs me!

epoxy tends to be somewhat brittle when in (comparatively) thin layers, the fibers will help counter that(and be lighter to boot!). no need to go hog wild with it, one or two layers should be all you need. spread epoxy over the area as you would normally then lay the glass over it(you will need somewhat thin poxy for this, thick stuff wont 'wet' the glass properly), then dab lightly with your brush(push the cloth down into the epoxy. when the glass is 'wet' it almost disappears. let cure. you'll be wanting epoxy with a generous working time 2-5 min epoxy will not be long enough. this techneque should also work with carbon fiber.

right. you may want a can of acetone to degrease/clean things before hand and to remove uncured resin from things that don't need to be glued(counters, hands...:))

It looks like you have both 187 and 150 cable. Be sure to get the right size(cable,flex conecter, teflon liner and brass tube).
Will 187 fit your strut?
What strut and what rudder you planning?
Servo?
Servo linkage?
Servo mount(Steve has a nice plastic one that is cheap and works well).
Gold connecters for batts,esc and motor?
Motor,esc?
Can cooler?
Extra shrink wrap to go over your batts that velcro can go on. This makes it easy to remove velcro later,especially with soft lipos.
Water cooling lines and bulkhead fittings?

Ya thanks guys. I placed the order a minute ago here. I figure i'll make my own servo mount with a small sheet of steel, some tin snips and a drill. Or i'll just glue the bad boy down to the bottom of the hull LOL

About the flex cables, I needed a .187 for the SW36 I am doing up, and I needed some .150 for the cat I am building here and a H&M hydro I am waiting on Dan Chase to ship me.

Yeah jeff good idea on the shrink wrap for the easy removal.

I have wire, connectors, solder, I found my 30-min epoxy so I did'nt order any of that, linkages I can get in town here, I am using a Mach5 hardware set combo,...

Thats about it....Im going to sleep man I am tired from spending money these last couple days....haha
