GENESIS is it worth the money?

Hi, I am new to fast boats and saw this for sale. Looks like a good deal with all the things I would need to get going. Can you tell me if this is a good boat and is it worth the asking price? I have put the link in if it works. Thanks for any advice.

I just bought one but haven't received it yet. It is a good boat....they say it's a good straight line boat but not good for high speed turns

Thanks for the info. Looks like a good deal with the batteries and charger. How fast would it go on 14v? Thanks.

I am in the UK. I will have a look at all the prices and work it out but if you include shipping to the uk and the 180a esc I am not sure there would be much difference and I could have this in a few days!

This one for £250 + shipping dosnt include an esc, astecmodels.co.uk has them for £230 + shipping including a Seaking 120amp esc. Not sure whether that esc is any use to you but you still get an esc in it for less money. Martin.

You can get the bare hull, why not buy that and build your own using gear from the States or HK :thumbup1.Also shipping from States or HK isnt that high for small hulls,i just shipped a 58" apache to Canada for £120 now thats high lol.

Lots of guys run that hull and they seem happy with it. The T180 ESC is known to be a solid performer.

Personally I would wonder a bit about the quality of the stock motor, and the quality and specs of the radio system, and charger.

Might not hurt to ask the seller for some details.

Also have to agree with the others, I think you could set that up straight off HK site for between $450 - $500 US shipped. Not sure what that is in Pounds Sterling.

I'm looking at a Genesis hull for my next boat.

                    Kevin

I think he's asking way too much for that, especially with just a stock motor. You could get the boat, an esc, lipos and radio gear from hobbyking for about the same or less and that's new.

It seem to be an auction now and a good price at the moment?

I still wouldnt pay that for it tbh. I would rather get the bare hull from astec and put my own stuff in it. Just the hull no paint is like £100 painted in the genesis livery its something like £120.
