I pulled shaft out that day and the bushing had split in two, so i need a new bushing or may be a better strut.

That would be a good place to start. I dont think teh strut is to low by any means.Originally posted by lenny View PostI pulled shaft out that day and the bushing had split in two, so i need a new bushing or may be a better strut.
Just a lot of cavitation. Maybe you have an issue at that bushing that is causing a loss of power at the prop. Be sure to check the prop shaft for damage/burrs as well.
If you still have problems after that, and you want to make strut adjustments, I would go down, not up.
Also check the center of gravity on the boat wiht all batteries and gear in it. If you set it on the edge of a countertop, it should have a balance point about 1/3 of the way up from the transom.

When running boat all was cool, but could not see much water flow from out let.
Boat loaded and cells as far back as they go, Cg 7"1/2 from transon.
Strut size 2"1/4 long and it has a brass bushing & teflon tube, i think it has ben cut down,
At motor it has a thrust bearing, not shore if need it, with dog spacing.
does size of strut matter ?

your turn fins sure look to be mounted low, i personally would think they would have been better mounted higher up the transom, and considering how deep they must sit in the water if that right side one is at a different angle than the left it would definately cause a right turn.
