castle 2200 ose water jacket install

just got a castle 2200 and a ose water jacket now this motors ribbed and im killing myself trying to get the water jacket on ,now ive oiled jacket and motor ,pushed slow ,pushed hard pushed left pushed right ,just cant seem to get this thing on please help any tips is it better with less oil ??

I use a little grease. try twisting slightly as you push it on. Be sure not to pinch the o-rings.

You may need to sand a chamfer on inside edge of housing using fine grit sand paper. Make sure water inlets/outlets have no burrs on inside (polish down using sandpaper). Anything to help the slip fit more easy (stop, think, smoke a cigarette)

Dielectric silicone (sparkplug boot grease) works good for sealing. You can buy it at most any auto parts store.

i had a similiar problem fitting ose water jacket to my cc 1717 first make sure youre o rings are still supple and flexible. second place water jacket in hot water as hot as you can stand on bare skin then smear a little machine oil or quality thin grease or a mix of the 2 then then gently push and twist cooler over o ring and keep it square (even pressure around the oring )
then you should find it is easier to fit
