Velc for Batteries etc Question?

I had bought what I thought was a great deal on 'adhesive hook-and-loop fastener' from China. But it would start peeling up after a couple of days, no matter how clean the surface. I've gone back to Velcro brand and it stays put. I've not had a problem with it coming up even when wet (knock on wood). Lately I've been using industrial strength on parts that I don't intend to remove (esc, receiver,etc) and regular velcro and straps for batteries. So far so good.

On my P-mono, I am going to use velcro (from Steven, OSE) on the bottom of my packs AND velcro straps that wrap around my stringers and packs as stated by Fluid and Sundog. Also straping down my CC240 ESC which will also have velcro on the base of it. If my boat ever flips wildly, I will know that my packs are not going to rip out of the base velcro and tear the taped on hatch right off my boat, possibly loosing the batts in the pond and who knows what else!
