It needs as pistix to work with a pistol marine transmitter. This controller is air cooled and I have not needed a fan with my setup, but a cpu type fan would work great on it if needed.

watts seems like we have talked about this before, but you needed a pistix to get the OEM RC 100 amp to work? I did'nt. it always worked fine without one. I had to pull WOT for a second with I flipped it on and it was armed.

I never got it to arm without a pistix. Your transmitter may be different from mine.

Is there a torque difference between the S, L, and XL motors? The Ammo is an "S" motor and it does fine in an SV27 which has an 6 pole "L" motor stock. People are putting Both "L" and "XL" in the SV27 with good results for both, as well as some other hulls in this size range.

            sure there is! at max amp, a S has a torque of 0.175Nm, a L 0.238Nm a XL 0.378Nm
For those who are interrested in... I made an excel spreadsheet where you can enter Voltage, amp and KV and the thing returns the torque in Nm... at 100% efficiency of course!

So an "XL" has twice the torque of an "S"?
