I am almost done building the Dumas Miss Circus Circus. It calls for a heavy duty rudder servo, any recomendations as far as torgue & speed of the servo? What would the run time with a nitro engine, thinking about the K&B .91 with a 16 oz tank. I have been told that the approx run time with a NEU 1527, & 2 four cell batts would be approx 8 to 10 min.

For a steering servo, I use Futaba S9156's in all my big boats. Pretty much a bullet proof servo for big, heavy boats. Probably overkill, but I've never had one fail.

The run time for the electric is very optimistic, I'd expect ~3 minutes on 8S1P 5K's. That's with a very well tuned boat.

That 91 is going to be thirsty as well. If I remember correctly, my nitro buddies plan for 3-4oz/minute on the CMB's. I could be wrong.

I would probbaly go with a Jr9000 or Hitec mg5955 (7955 now)

cant really beat that, i have both and have used them in my 1/8 truggies for steering and there just beasts. I have a jr9000t just sitting in my toolbox for past year or 2 as a back up, but i've yet to ruin one and doubt i will!

+1 on the Hitec 5955, I use two of them in my electric SW55, tons of torque, and reasonably fast. It's beyond my imagination to get it killed, the arms will strip first.
