Shipping is a killer these days. You all would choke if you knew what we have to pay to get our stuff here from China! Even our mini boats average $30 each when shipped in a carton of 6 boats. Outrageous. In the past 5 years, shipping has doubled and the value of the US dollar against the Chinese Renminbi (Yuan) has decreased 20%!

When we import standard 20' containers roughly 8' x 8' x 20' from China we calculate in $10-12,000 USD for shipping alone.

Yep. We are a tiny company. We could never afford a container load anyway. All of our shipments come in EMS. I remember when a 20' container was only about $5,000!

i have not forgotten about those.
a few years ago i payed $35 to have a 32" FMD shipped from usa to norway today it seems that a SV27R wil chost me $85.
so if i am to put in VAT and customs and so on a sv wil end up at
$300 for the boat + 85 shipping +25% VAT on those 285 + $24 as a customs\import fee so if my math skills are not totaly out there total deliverd for a sv $505.25.

so to all your aussies out there. you not alone beeing ripped off

How about this one from Cali. look at the shipping in contus. i could order the same thing from HK and it will cost me $240 including shipping -- $239 for the Genesis to my NY address

Not long ago I was looking for how much would it HURT me to ship my 29" tunnel boat (my avatar) from Hungary to a friend in the US. The cheapest shipping I found was about 70 euros, ~90USD. If I wanted tracking and insurance, then well over $100... it's not worth it I think.

I just shipped a sport 40 hull to Australia for $95.60 by USPS. The friendly folks at the UPS store wanted $610.00 for the same exact box! That is just plain stupid
