looking to see if anyone has any information of pumps to pump water into a water jacket instead of using pick-ups? i have a mamba monster 2200 and a nice water jacket for it. also is there some kind of radiator that i could use to cool that water after it passes over the motor? any help/input would be great

Why do you want to cool the water after it passes the motor?

It is a good idea to cool the motor after it is sitting they do build heat after they stop.
hear is a link to pumps.

Radiators do very little if they dont have air passing through them. A simple Ice pack would perform better if it is just for when your rc is sitting in between runs.Originally posted by RandyatBBY View PostIt is a good idea to cool the motor after it is sitting they do build heat after they stop.

you could put a radiator under the naca ducts every one has Just for lookS lol. Those ducts are design that way for a purpose,so air can be pulled in a water and debris will pass over the u could line the botom of the duct with gor tex :lets air in but no water .Pumps wont a winsield wiper pump do the job? Man I wish I could get some of this money you guys burn. Goto auto zone do yaself a favor and spend no more than 10 dollars if that.If youre having real heat issues water is just a bandaid. If the heat is a result of inefficiency are you okay with it as long as you can touch the motor when it comes in? You still had loss the water just makes it less apparent and spares your motor as the materials in the motor will fail at a certain temp. Not taking away what keith says he knows boats im just saying if you just want to build something go for it. Put you radiator on the deck an put a scoop over it. Youll be the first one.The best heat prevention is an efficient set up. There are desing parameters u just need to calculate your needed air flow and desind a duct or several to give you what you want. I always wonder why most of the guys only use them for looks. Ive even seen people go through all the trouble to cut them just for looks. This is what you put your raidators under homeboy

When we used to race full size cars, we'd stop at the local blood bank and pickup dry ice for the intake. Dangerous stuff if you don't know what you're doing, but it may have an application. Please lookup dry ice safety prior to consider using. Just be sure it never touches water, whatever the application.IMPBA: 7-Time FE World Record Holder "Don't think outside the box. I know it may sound stupid Randy but I truly believe the motors will run better with a litte warmth the batts too.You know how a car battery is weak when its cold?Crude example but I think u get my drift. Again warm not HOT.Originally posted by RandyatBBY View PostIt is a good idea to cool the motor after it is sitting they do build heat after they stop.

Before you contact Chris at Fine design, I would do a search on this forum for history of his shop.Originally posted by mappo View Posthey speak to Chris at Fine design, he had a similar set up for one of his buggy with a radiator

there are companys like "RAM" that make a nice little pump, your local shop should have access to them... Guys (and chris fine) have been using a couple aluminum coil motor coolers for the radiator and just pumping it through the system... Super easy to fab...Originally posted by slash24 View Postlooking to see if anyone has any information of pumps to pump water into a water jacket instead of using pick-ups? i have a mamba monster 2200 and a nice water jacket for it. also is there some kind of radiator that i could use to cool that water after it passes over the motor? any help/input would be great
