You have to realize, he Raptor was designed as a P-spec boat from the beginning. It was never intended to carry the big horsepower systems. Getting the 2-lap combo in there was an exercise in shoehorning.

The Etti won't fit. I run a Hydra 120 in the heat race boat (UL-1 motor).

Depends on how fast you want to go. A modded Raptor is the only FE boat to break 20 seconds for 2 laps on the 1/6 mile oval. I was running a Neu 1515/1.5D and hydra 240.

The 180 won't fit in the boat.

So with the v2 raptor, what motor and prop would be a good choice for extreme speed..I have a seaking 180 esc..
Also what other assembly and hardware is needed?

The V1 Raptor was one of the first 10 I built. Wood over foam sponsons.

The V2 is all composite and a bit more hardware included.

A good Raptor is hard to beat. I finished 2850 points ahead of second place in our district points series last season. Second place was a well tuned JAE, followed by 2 more Raptors. The one major advantage to the composite boats the way I build them, they are TOUGH.

Better yet build your own! this is a friends design I've built many times, it is a NITRO hull, but building for FE, is identical except for the powerplant and sealed sponson booms. Thats it. My boats are floating around here on the forum with other members.

I have built a few of these too.
Great boats... a bit of an Eagle SGX ripoff but...
The one in the pics is a nitro, but has been changed to a FE... dont have any pics.
These are easy to build, and are good handeling/fast boats.
