I started out as a scale boater myself then got the speed bug. It's been all down hill since.

Hey Doug, definately all fun. I'm sure you have seen my 54" Fountain build. Its the perfect combination of scale and all out speed. It looks like a real Fountain (especially once I get the wrap on) and at 30 pounds RTR it aint doing bad at 60 MPH.

Hey man I resemble that remark!

I was always a sport RC boater. I only raced a few times and guess what I won once. And I won against much faster clutchless boats. But I won because my boat came back under its own power. Steady along at 45-50 MPH with the 60+ MPH boats blowing past mine, then blowing over. You can't win a race if you don't finish it. LOL.

I have always been a scale fan so sometimes I likes just letting the boat idle around so I could watch the water blowing out the exhaust pipes. Plus I liked just giving the boat a slight push off the shore instead of throwing them in.

Hey Chris, take a look at the MHZ mystic cat hulls. They make a sweet 45" hull. Thats what I was going to build then I changed my mind at the last minute to the 54 Fountain. Those big motors in a 45" MHZ Mystic should get you close to 90.

What do you guys think ? I should get a bigger hull my 2nd choice would be a 43" sprint cat or conquest Where is Doug and Jay on this

Yea I know Electrics are new to me but Building and triming is not oh well if it don't work I will build a bigger boat

Wow Chris I didn't know the hull was only 35"! I thought you were building a 45" + cat. Thats a lot of power for that little hull.

But I guess you want 100 MPH. You should have no problem getting that speed, keeping the boat in the water will be your problem. It will be fun to see.

just 35" and 2x 2028 as well as 2x 10S Lipo? I think thats just too much as well as being too heavy. But curious to see the results.
