how to fit cap board

I wouldnt use 25v caps on anything above 5S. Just for caution sake. For my own speedos? I wouldnt use 25v caps on anything above a 4S rating. The larger value give lots of room and most importantly it costs you little to nothing to use larger caps, yet gains you increased voltage potential issues. Thats pretty wierd about the caps going off like that. Never seen that myself. Hopefully the gods of electricity were happy with that minor sacrifice.

Thanks for the input. I never run anything higher than 4S, and the only speedys that use those caps are spec speedys. Way back in the '70's we Hi-Fi crazies would occasionally ritually sacrifice amplifiers and when the caps exploded it rained white snow-like stuff. ( It was only rock & roll )

The CC240LV is "rated" to 6S on paper. But you will not get any form of warranty using anything above 4S. And they are known to go boom on 6S. But to answer your question there are folks who are successfully running their 240LV on 6S with an added cap bank. I have "tried" one of mine on 6S but its right at the voltage rating limit. Not a place you want to be IMO. I'd recommend at least a 2000mfd 50v bank, a larger one will work if you decide to get the Etti, YGE, Schulze cap banks or if you decide to make your own.

this is my t-180 it has the two stock cap banks and the a 63v Rubycon cap bank

I only added these cap banks on my V2 ESC.
The LVC in many cases are caused by battery dropping its hold on voltage when under load . It could be a freshly charged battery if the battery is not in top shape or the quality is questionable. I had a pair that will do that in less than two minutes. Problem went away as soon as I stopped using this pair of batteries.
Some people disable the auto-cell-count and time their run very carefully.

Does anyone have the specification on the extra cap bank on version 3?

Is it overkill to add three more original capacitor (Rubycon 35v 1000uf Capacitor) in parallel with the originals (I have version 3)?

My setup is leo 4082 1600kv on 6s (dinogy 65c 6000mha) with m445 prop.

Match cap band to esc caps. I took a t-120 and replaced esc caps and then added 4 caps in a bank and runs cool! All the caps are the same.

DSCN3277_3493.jpg My V2 with the cap bank. To solder to the underside of the power lines, I realized the factory solder has a very high melting point. It was very hard to attach ( solder) the bank as I am always careful not to over heat the circuit board. Also you don't want to over heat them to a point when the top wires get unsoldered. I had a towel soaked in water to cool off these wires as I solder them. Note that I also replaced the three original caps---it was easy compare to the cap bank.
