hi there
i'm a little bit surprise with answer's a read
ok a mono hull is not same as a cat
but on my lizard , i ran a Leopard 3674 (2200 KV) with a hydra 120 and a 4S lipo pack
(turnigy 5800)
last time it was with a S225 or a X445, S225 is far better
run time ..... 7 minutes, speed ....around 40/45 mhp
every thing was cold, i mean less than 30°C
Leopard motors are really really incredible

That may have been me you're thinking of, except I was running a 2000KV 4074 with a X440 and it did run cool.Originally posted by tiqueman View PostIf I remember correctly, a member of the local club ran that motor in his on a Turningy 180A speedy and I believe he was turning a X640. It ran well in race conditions (high 40s) and ran cool.

My setup is
2x 4S 45C 4000 MAH turnigy Lipos,
T180 ESC,
38mm copper prop - not sure what it actually is...
the stock motor - which I want to replace and im looking at this one as well
I replaced all of the water cooling in my boat with large diameter pipe and when its running at full speed it spits out almost 1M from the side of the hull!, after a 5 Min run of almost constant full speed against a 26cc gas boat, it died on the way in because my esc solder on my deals plug had melted, the batteries and esc were cold, engine was warm

Will the 4074 bolt up to the stock mount? Do you just need to replace the 36mm O-ring clamp with a 40mm? Don't mean to hijack the thread but I am looking to upgrade my Genesis as well.Go Fast...Turn Right...

I'm still a fan of the 4082 on this hull.Cool, thanks Vid and Tiqueman. Would this be the one? The motor pictured is a 4074 2200kv, I was just showing you how I did it. As far as the 4082 I suggested that motor for another member here for his genesis and he posted great results. Looks like a CF48 maybe, here's his vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJckfHpAHZoOriginally posted by martin View PostWhat prop do you use on the 4082 motor. Martin.

No, T180 is rated at 6s. You will need a HV esc. I don't run my T180 past 5s and the bec is dis-abled.Originally posted by iamandrew View Postwould it be possible to run 8S with the T180 and a 1050kv 4074????
