Need Help Choosing New Boat

New to the electric side of rc boats (already have a couple of gas Cats) and would like to set up a new electric boat, WHO makes a GOOD , fast well handling mid size Cat that I can or should start with, would like to do a twin. Thanks for any experianced help you guys could help me with.

Will build it myself, thats the only way I'll be able to learn the electrics side of rc's

That's what I was going to recommend, but he said he wants to build it himself.

It also depends on what kind of cash you wanna spend. MHZ makes awesome hulls but they'll leave you with a hole in your pocket

I've also seen a lot of people building the Mean Machine on here, it seems like a pretty good boat. You can buy it right here at OSE.

I say an Aeromarine SprintCat .40 with twins.I think they are in the mid 40"range and Ive been told you can make full throttle turns with it and it handles relative chop with ease.That will be my next hull.

Oops! Sorry, I didn't notice you said hull and hatch. I thought you meant the RTR one. Then yes, I agree. It's a good hull to start on.

I know there are many other hulls as well. But I like a hull that already has good paint. I hate painting!!

Yeah I thought I wouldn't have to get my MHZ hull painted, but no way, it's definitely in need of a paint job. Haha :)

Thanks for to info guys, I talked to Areomarine about the srint cat but he said to go with the Team Believers, it has a wider hatch opening to work with twins but is the same hull. I figured that a twin would be a handfull to start with but I'd like to go faster than my mod gas boats, 43" cats, so with that in mind if I can I'd like to run upwards to 70, and understand that twins run cooler than singles with splitting the load on motors. One thing he did tell me was to run the motors centered as much as possible and not in the sponsons, said it would be faster and handle better???
