Driftah, You have now caught the attention of Rumdog and Chopper. If anybody, these guys can figure out your problem.

I can now give you some great advice. Don't start another new thread. Everyday or twice a day you start a new thread on the same problems and the same boat. Keep it here!!!! Everytime you start a new thread nobody knows what you have already done to try and solve your problems.

As Tony said "Hang Tough" this is all part of a hull setup no matter what boat and what power you use. You have to try things, part of the learning curve.

Oh yeah, Any chance you could borrow a GPS from somebody? Would really help to know your exact speeds that you are getting.

Try running it at 7 degrees, I think there is a setting right around there on the 180. Set it for the actual # of cells, not auto. Make sure there is a 1/8"-3/16" gap between your drive dog and strut, and that the drive is bind free.

Also, is it just me, or are your rudder and turn fins HUGE?!

OH! And most importantly, ditch the Deans connectors and go for some OSE 5.5mm bullets!

Good call on the hardware- didn't notice. May not have a huge effect on speed, but trimming a small bit off the rudder won't hurt unless left turns are important. Actually I just ordered those turnfins for my Cyber 32 from Steven !

Also , my MV with the Seaking 180 just caught the 1/2 throttle flu; going to "NO LVC" didn't help so I went to "autodect" & will try tomorrow. Truth is, my 30C Turnigys are nearly a year old and are fading fast. We'll see.

the hardware is speedmaster and the rudder is 4" from top of it to bottom.Turn fins are what it came with and I have removed trim tabs to try that out too.How much should I be chopping off the rudder guys? I will play with timing tomorrow too thx.and switching to bullets asap

From the picture, it looks like you could lose @ 1/2 " of rudder. It should only make a small diff in speed. The fins are OK, keep them where they are 'till you sort out the speed issue & than experiment with turn settings. Remember when programming with the box to hit "OK" after each change. Look at it this way Bro, if you bought a perfect running/handling boat, you'd miss out on learning all the skills/tricks which will help you in future builds.

Put in a new 9XL motor and an X442 or X640 prop and make sure the rest of the drivetrain is free running and you will have a fast and well handling boat with correct other adjustments

ok so I tossed her in the water with 0 deg. strut and she was still slow....so I for kicks added some downward degrees to the stinger to get more of the prop in the water and for some odd reason it helped a lot so this actually is supposed to push more of the bow into the water and make it run more wet but makes no sense to me.My 15 deg timing was taken down to 7 but made hardly any difference.in the pics the previous owner marked 25 to 30 % markings on the hatch seam area so I was told to move my batteries more towards the back as much as I can but why does he have % markings up to 30% on it for the batteries? and I want more speed so I may try going to a 2050kv motor in it instead of the 9xl

Hey, I was skimming this thread and I did not see what kind of batteries you were using? Are they lipo's? What "c" rating are they?

I have some smc 5400mah 50c and some orion 5000mah 25c...and a few turnigy 5000mah 30c.the smc cells are dynamite just expensive lol Im savin for more of them they are the best cells I have touched...better than thunder power sofar...I was thinkin of getting the hyperion 35c or 45c cells from rclipos.com but dunno which to get higher mah like the 6500's or higher c like the 5000mah ones.was thinkin of goin 4s2p but then I need 2 4s packs or 4 2s packs I dunno what to go for prolly the 4s ones that way they are one piece, just a bit heavier than running 4s1p hehe.
