    hydro problem

I just got my ose raider hydro painted and put back together, I went to run it today and it will hop out of the water about a foot. It acts like it binds up in the water and then hops. Its an ose raider hydro 24 with fiago 13xl, speatmaster 21 mini ruder and 21 round bottom strut on 6 cell I ran it with and without the turn fin with no change. Its weird cause it only hops every once in a while. When it doesn't it screams. As i write this i realize i should have tried adjusting the rudder caster. Oh well. Im home now and its too dark to go back to the pond now. Maybe u guys might have an idea, any help with what to do would be greatly appreciated.

Where is your COG? It looks like your batteries are pretty far back.

Cog is 2 inches behind sponson transom. Boat won't plane out any further forward. it runs great once up to spead it getting up to spead that the boat will hop.

Does the rear hop, or the sponsons?

X642 prop. It kinda comes up in front corner then rest of boat follows. Don't remember witch front corner comes up first.

That is a tiny hull for 6S power and weight. You may have to just deal with the hopping if it goes away once you're up to speed. Place the hull on a dead flat table surface and make sure the strut is flat on the table.

My UL-1 would do this with some high pitch props. Like fluid said, try adjusting the strut depth and angle first and if that does not help try a smaller prop with less pitch. I like the M440 prop.

Strut is probably set too deep in water.

                      Hi
In my Stryker II Gashydro it's 4-6oz lead necessary in the left sponson otherwose it's lift also to match.
The torque lift the left sponson, the air take the rest. Flipp

That is way too much prop with 6S power and your hull size. I run that modified prop...thanks Chuck... on an Insane FE30 with 4S power and a Neu 1415 1Y
