    Looking for ideas

Wanting to run A123 2S2P, that's 6.6V, maybe 6.0V under load. Any ideas on motor / boat? This is something for fun, not a pro race boat or anything.

We use to run 4 NIMH cells with and 05 on a gearbox and that may be the way to go with this setup, only it would be faster and have 4,600mah.

    thanks,
    Steve

that's a tough one, a boat built around a battery, like having a gas tank and asking what kind of car to build. lol Would have to be small 6v is pretty low, probably a small brushless motor in a micro boat, like the mini-v and many others.

I think the 400 BL motors would work, I need to find a hull.

you can pull amps from these batteries right ?
no matter the voltage get a brushless motor with the KV to compensate.
        like 5500 kv motor

Yes, they will put out the amps.........I was thinking the same thing. Been told the ARC motors at http://www.lightflightrc.com/ are very good for the costs.
