Lehner 2250 Hi Amp smoked :(

Burnt up lehner 2250 Hi amp 12 turn... what to do..

Anway my flexshaft angle was off and worked the 2250 too hard and smoked her so bad the power leads coming out of the motor fell out.... wow was she hot.... anyway what should I do with the motor..? Does lehner have any type of warranty or deal for sending back?

Ha Ha... nothing.... Jorn Marksett said to send it into lehner and they would fix it... but would charge me... also was told it would be reasonable to fix as they like their motors to have a good rap...lol... it is still sitting in its lehner motor case on my workbench.... I probably should do something with it.... my boating season is over so I guess its time.... was thinking of putting one of my 1717 castles in the boat in its place.... you think a 39" df copy will get pushed hard enough with a 1717?

I haven't really seen any 1717 setups, nor heard much about them. If they are anything like the smaller 15 series they should be pretty potent. For the cost of em, I'd say why not try them out. I grabbed a 1518 and 1520 just because they were so cheap. Noticed you grabbed a nice selection too. Throw it in and see!

As for the lehner, I would wanna fix it personally. Tracy may know something about their service too. I know he has a few of their cans.

Probably not.... lol.... why you interested in a particular one of them? I am building a 33% extra 260 brushless plane.... taking up alot of my time lately.... I have a bunch of smaller Extra 260's.... so said what the Heck....

its really really really really nice.... In fact the water had just enough chop where I was being really conservative and I wanted to get a vid of a stealth bad as there are very few of them with any vid at all and I couldn't film and drive aggressive at the same time.... especially with the 40 degree water temp looming in my mind...lol... but it is a sweet boat....... handles super, in fact the vid did absolutely no justice for it as it really doesn't care about the chop much as sometimes it looks out of shape but it always just sticks to the water somehow.... must be the raceboat in her.... I also ran the Tunnel I bought off from mike (cyberxt) the 32" woodstuff.... what a sick boat that is.... quite a machine... both to run and look at.... I have a crappy vid of that too that I will post.... I hate posting bad vids but they are still something to look at...lol...

Oh and by the way after how much fun I have running this PT Stealth I highly doubt you want my MHZ twice as much as I want your pt45!!!!

That twin cat is one of the few boats on this forum I would let my hydro go for. The pt is just so awesome to look at. I find myself stairing at it a lot. Haha

I did the same thing about a month ago with a new 2250 11T , took out one of my Huaya BX200 with it. Expensive day at the pond! I think they had a bad batch of Lehners a while back and i traded into one.

yeh.... maybe mine was bad then... I had run that setup quite a few times with no issues..... was running a x445 on 8s? hmmm... maybe I will send it back and they will take care of it then? did you send yours in? Thanks Ken...

I traded into it so i have no paperwork for the motor. Not worth it when i can get a hi-watt Scorpion or X Era for half the cost.
