Has anyone ever tried to add water cooling plates to this ESC?

Yep, and water proofing, love it. have one that is still crankin along. do a search there are some threads describing procedure.
I take off shrink wrap and peel off the fins, then adhesive epoxy the cooler on, then either dip or conformal epoxy it water proof. Epoxy coating needs to be done before adding cooling and be sure to not get/leave any on the FETs."Look good doin' it"

I'd like to try this...details? Not clear as to the order of the steps and also what you mean by not getting/leaving any on the FETs...do you clean them off before the epoxy dries and then add the cooling plate to the FETs after everything dries? Then how do you attach the plate? More epoxy?Originally posted by Jesse J View PostYep, and water proofing, love it. have one that is still crankin along. do a search there are some threads describing procedure.

Here's a thread for you; http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...ad.php?t=17329Originally posted by Insaniac View PostI'd like to try this...details? There's a few links, including a tutorial on the process.
The only problem I've had with these is one exploded on the bench while I was trying to program it.FighterCatRacing Team CHING BLING - Ching Bling. Brilliant, Advanced Sparkle for your hull.

It has been done but the problem is there is no way to cool the second FET board. Cooling one board doesnt really help make a difference. The GX200 is a decent speedo. Cheap and powerfull.Originally posted by Insaniac View PostHas anyone ever tried to add water cooling plates to this ESC?

The ETTI cooling plates fit nicely... OSE has the clear shrink tube to cover as well.
I spray them with conformal coating (Tech Spray) to water proof, you can get it many places.
Works well with a modest setup.
