I have a boat that has been painted in side with Epoxy Primer and then two stage paint and clear CAN You Fiber glass using West System 105 Epoxy Resin ?

Really? I would have thought just sanding with some 220 really well would be enough for most of our applications. As long as there is no shine to the paint and or primer I would feel pretty confident with it. Is this for real?? Have you seen repair/rework done on composites such as boats, slats, fairings etc. All paint have to be removed completely around the repair areas before any good bonding can take place for the resin to adhere structurally.
