Ok, I'll have another go at it.
What is the web? An source for users to find information.
How many people with half a brain just go and find one site and drop $500 on something?
If someone does drop $500 on something with one click and without looking at other options there are two scenarios that quickly come to mind, either they can well afford to be a "impulsive" shopper or just plain naive.
I guess I'm just not as compassionate as you guys for someone that doesn't do their research on something that cost so much money.
Seems "G-Freak" has Freaked Out

Thanks, Dom - well said - I wish I could be that clear and unemotional !Originally posted by domwilson View PostI'm all for the entrepreneurial spirit of starting a business and turning a profit. The market, production costs, adminstrative, etc. determine the final price of a product. At the same time you have to be competitive and entice potential new and returning customers. There is nothing wrong with "re-branding" a product. Radio Shack and RCA have done it for years. However, your final price should be inline with your closest competition. If your rebranded product is better, then you state why and the value you offer. Your profits will come thru via increased sales. You limit your market penetration if you are not competitive in price and service. New businesses typically sell their products at a lower price than their competition to generate a customer base. Bashing your competition is not only a bad business move but can land you in court if your statements are misleading.
Maybe G-freak should try an "Introductory Sale" to generate a customer base rather than insulting the very market they are catering to. Just my thoughts....

While it hurts my heart to think that many well-intentioned, naive and gullible new boaters may be sucked in by these semi-literate hustlers, not much can be done besides our indignant venting. Unless of course a write-in campaign to G-Fraud's local BBB or to all the forums, which probably aren't read by the potential clients until it's too late happens, which really won't do much as the only real crime committed is that of extreme unethicalness. Hype is not uncommon in mass merchandising ( not that I'm excusing it)- witness Traxxas describing their as yet-unreleased Titan being described as "Race Ready"
On the bright side, think how lucky we all are to have OSE as our "Gold Standard" shopping experience [ which makes the G-Freak idiots pale all the more in comparison]
I'm done with thinking about these creeps, or as the old saying goes : " The more you wrestle with a turd, the more you get covered with s**t"

I just went through all the vids on there site and they must think that we all smoke crack. They take shots at every major player in the FE hobby I can't see any reason to do any business with them at all.
P.S. don't they know that Aeromarine Laminates moved to Delaware?

WORD!Originally posted by RCKong View PostWe should have busted on these A-Hole's a while back and put them in their place. This has been a long time coming.
They are already changing their prices because of this thread...
Without this thread they would continue to do business as usual. People interested in FE boating don't deserve this.
They are being driven away from the hobby because of their outrageous business practice. They are SHADY at best and it is not hard to see. I know this first hand, as I know someone who deals with them, and paid $199 for a T180. It made me sick and it is pitifull... I don't want any body interested in FE boating being ripped off by these punks in Orlando..It's not cool at all.

I would never allow my kids to run their boat in the bath top, that must be one of the original freaking ideas of G-Freak.....

Here's the difference, Miss Geico, Stilleto, SV27, UL-1 all developed by respected and successful racers from the ground up. Nothing is 100% perfect, but I bet they get the customer service they need. If I make 100 boats and 1 fails, I still have a 99% success rate. I have watched their videos and seen terrible driving, one of them refered to a series circuit as a "serial" circuit stated to use 6mm plugs because it "lower resistence or whatever it's called". As I buyer I want to buy something from someone who knows what their doing and more importantly why their doing it. In the video on the homepage I want to buy a boat not a bb gun, so why are showing it to me? Their is also respect in this sport do you think Grim or Darin ever bad mouth each other, I never heard them do that. They respect each other even though they work for competing companies. So why does G-Freak take shots at leading compaines? They have bad mouthed AQ & castle, and for what? You earn respect by giving respect, and they have given none. They charge over inflated prices......
They rant and rave about their "experience"........ (which I assume is the ability to put labels on things)
They repackage everything and call it "custom"........
They use shiny objects in their advertising (Bunny,,,OK, ,,,,,I'll give them that one).............
They flame forums in an effort to make themselves appear smarter....
They run boats up on shore in their vids........(I should try that to gain from their "experience")
They can't even seem to take themselves seriously if you listen to some of their commentary on their vids....
Old expresion: "Self Praise Is No Praise".......
