was thinking of playing around with my sv27 running 2x3s lipos and putting a mamba monster esc to handle the load but is the motor able to handle this or no? I am using the grim 42x55 prop as well fyi
I've run 5s on the stock esc and motor and it rips!

Cool thanks Darin. I bought a blue one for my 1/10th scale round nose but was curious how the new versions would stack up. I'm not a racer so I'm not worried just curious.

not to jack this thread but, what kind of speeds can you get with that motor in that size of Hydro?

The standard SV27 (blue) motor is a better choice for a 1/10th scale. Lots of torque and about the right KV....

NO... the new 1800KV AQ motor is built just like their 2030KV UL-1 motor, just a different KV... Looks and is built totally different, and frankly, WAY better quality, from what I've seen...
I don't know why but my blue one (brand new) ran hot from run one. I thought it was a cooling issue but it appears it wasn't.
