with 1445kv on 6s it pushes my 39 inch cat very well so should work very well on your cat.

Those are very decent motors. Been reading more and more happy folks using them as Neu replacements. I think they are rebadged ARC motors but I'm only guessing. The numbers are similar. And the pricing is not bad. Ooooooooh the choices

Where did you buy it?

Leopard makes a 4082 as well. They make them in 1600kv, 1300kv, and another I think around 1000kv. They are simialar in size to the 1521s. I have a 1300kv on the way to me I plan on running on 7s or 8s.

My sprintcat 40 on 6S with a 1527 runs an X447/3 prop and heat is not an issue. She's running in the 60mph range.

Yeah Fighter, be careful with the 1527 in your cat. I ran on in my sprintcat. It is 34". It isn't you run of the mill cat though. In order for it (the motor) to run efficiently, it WILL need a big prop. With a x455, my temps and speeds were awesome. Propping down to a x648, I lostabout 16mph, and GAINED a lot of heat on the motor. They need to be loaded properly to work efficiently. Depending on what cat you have, it may be possible. Most cats in that size range may not handle the big wheel well. That 1.5d on 5s2p would easily put my cat on it's lid out of the hole if not careful on the throttle!

I had a H&M Drifter L (36") with a x640 prop that went on it's roof out of the hole at the Valdosta SAW races.
this was in the Nimh days, so the 32 cells carried a lot of weight to wheelie like that.
If a x640 will put it on it's roof, then a larger diameter is unnecessary.

Lipo's with 40% less weight will be more prone to "holeshot backflips".

I have a 1300kv Leopard 4082 I ordered by mistake. I wanted the 1600kv version when I ordered it but they didnt respond to my emai, just shipped the 1300kv.
I'll sell it and ship it for $100 if anyone's interested (its brand new, never hook up, never soldered, ect.)
The 4082 has a 5mm shaft and normal 540 bolthole size

On 6s this thing rips :) even more power compare to 68mm, more like Neu 1521. Seems happy putting out 1800 watts all day long.
