Is that the new Leopard 5692? That's a LOT of motor for a 36" boat! I usually stick with Speedmaster hardware from OSE. The quality is outstanding and the prices are more than fair.Mini Cat Racing USA

For my Aeromarine Sprint Cat (34"), it was recommended to buy a Speedmaster 3/16" XTD strut, round bottom. For the rudder, a Speedmaster .40 rudder with the proper setback to correspond to the XTD strut. I would imagine you don't want to go any smaller than that on a 38" cat and both of the items you linked are smaller.

you could use one of these, for the rudder http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...ckets+%26+More
set back will depend on strut length, one of these should be okay (mono round bottom) http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...d=ros-21-strut
you could go the larger twin water pickup rudder and trim the length as well
