What is the thought on trim tabs?? Are they a necessity or a bit of help to a struggling hull? From what I have read, about setting up FE boats vs looking at most race and higher end RTR boats, it is in conflict. It is my belief that a properly set up hull won't require the tabs, is this true or one of those ongoing debates?

I think that you have to take each hull at face value, my triton did not need them till I was regulary runing high 40's into the low to mid 50's and then they became a must!! no matter what I tried, in the end the tabs worked the best.

I have had the same experience with my Triton. In the low 40's the tabs didn't seem necessary, but at near or above 50 they seem all but indispensable.Originally posted by andym View PostComment
