i payed about the same for a mystery 80a,put it in my vs1 running a scorpion 3026 1900 kv on 4s with a m642
sold the boat rtr and the esc is still going for the new owners 6 months later

I tried one of those ESCs out of curiosity. They, as I'm sure you would expect, didn't work well. I put it in the Rio EP I have and it would run it for about a minute then just stop. Then when you plugged the battery in again it would run and just stop or sometimes it wouldn't turn back on after stopping voluntarily.Comment

I tried that brand for kicks, one of the 120 amp versions. couldn't handle a SV27 motor on a 442 pulling about 60amps. melted all the solder joints.Comment

guys, the first BL ESC I have ever had is a Mystery 80 that I paid $12, it's been flooded, then watercooled/waterproofed, I did pull 100A burst and is still working fine!
I've had less chance with a HEX120 that costed more than $60 that catched on fire at second run!
IMO it's just a question of luck!Comment
