Easy deans cap bank
There has been much talk about Cap banks and ESC failures. I have been using a three cap bank attached to a Deans connector from Espritmodel.com. This unit sells for $42 and is connected between the battery bank and Esc. Simple to use,easily moveable from boat to boat. Works great on 4s systems below 60 amps.

The problem is two more deans plugs. If the system is drawing so much power that extra caps are required, you should consider getting better connectors at the same time.Steven Vaccaro

Easy deans cap
Steve, I am using 5.5mm connectors on all higher draw applications. I originally bought this cap board because of my 50% failure rate of UL-1 power systems ESC'S. This cap plug works well and I have had no problems since I started using it. As Deans plug come standard on SV 27, Proboat 45 amp systems and UL-1, this little plug could be a lifesaver for those not interested in upgrading to 5.5mm connectors. I used to upgrade the Y harness on the above ESC'S, but don't bother any more. I believe Aquacraft and Proboat use the stock, smaller size Y harness as a fuse to protect their systems. Since using this Deans type cap board, the stock Y harness have been hanging in there.Originally posted by Steven Vaccaro View Post
