another thing interesting about the hifei aircraft controller, at least in the 55 and 75 amp versions I was playing with the other day, the two boards actually PLUG IN to each other. Not soldered. They will separate easily. In fact I took a 55A with blown FET's (dumbass me, I plugged it in backwards) and a 75A with a bad BEC and used the good part from each one, plugged them together and I'm back in business!
Cant we do this?

I'm interested if Xfactor can make this work. I'm seeing guys on here being innovative in their solutions to problems all the time and I wish him good luck. He may have a trick or two up his sleeve. Xfactor, there are a number of BL ESC schematics on the internet that may assist you in your endeavor. Good Luck...

Yes they do use hall. To impliment that on a sensorless brushless motor migh take a little thought. First thing you need to know is what kind of hall is a shulze compatible with. I opted for optical because I can impliment that on the screamer easily. With maybe a neu type motor I might see if Randy or someone can machine me a collet with positioning magnets?????Or you can order a custom motor with a shaft that protrudes out the back and design you hall setup there. Its do-able and worth it.

I wonder if I could use my pull with the alternative fuel sector at school and get those rich rascals at shulze to donate me a working sample for r and d. Dont laugh companies will do it. I got a noritake graphic lcd that way. It shows animation like the dolphins on a pioneer deck. Thats a 175 dollar screen. Now how much does a cd player for a car cost with a part that alone cost 175 dollars? think about it. To make a thousand of them in just that part cost what? 175,000 dollars.

So if you parallel the MOSFET's on the output, are you going to incorporate some type of current limiting and/or temp sensing? From what I understand, that is done in the firmware as well as the hardware.Government Moto:

Jim, thats pretty damn clever! Any connections at HiFei that might be able to tell you if the 240 might be "home" upgraded? If the 240 could be made a 360 for $500 it would look way more appealing then a $800 40.300.Originally posted by sailr View Postanother thing interesting about the hifei aircraft controller, at least in the 55 and 75 amp versions I was playing with the other day, the two boards actually PLUG IN to each other.
