Can someone explain to me what all the 1Y, 1.5d etc etc means on each model of motor as iam doing this as a school project and need to put it all in writing.

Who told you that? I run my 15271y with a 180a turnigy................motor is 85* on the can, 95* on the bearing and ESC 95*. I havent had one problem, and im running this in a 46" Dumas.

It all depends on what 1527. With a 1y, yes, it should work. With something like a 1.5d, maaaaybe not.

I'm running two 3s 5800 25c Turnigys in series with an x445............i could certainly go to a 447, but im fine with the speed, its a "sport boat", and i want to keep the temps right where they are.

I cant believe that either unless the neu is pulling more than 360 amps for ten seconds.It may be though.

This is a good enough endorsement of the 180 for me!

I ran the SK 180 in my Q hydro this weekend. 1527/1Y Neu pulling about 90 amps average. No problem. 2.5 minute runs and the temps came back like this: Motor 102F (good cooling, ESC 104F, batts 115F. Boat runs in the 70's. running 9 second laps on the 1/8 mile course. 16 laps in 2.5 minutes. Made 2 runs (at lunch at our club race), same temps both times. ESC settings were: Forward only, 6 cells, 3.2V cutoff, 7.5 degrees.

I like this ESC.

Does anyone know when OSE will have the next shipment of Neu motors?

Neu motors are constantly on order. I have probably 75 motors on backorder. They ship a couple at a time. For instance the other day i received 3 motors.

Neu builds motors slowly, but he builds a really fast motor!
