i an going to build the old duma s pay n pak in electric and wondering about motor sise thinking 3650 lepard 4s. thiswas my start to the hobby back in 1980 when i saw a pile of these kits in a paynpak store in spokane.built it and ran it but got me started in planes but now back to boats and rite back to where it all started 46 years ago.

You can test a slightly smaller or lower-pitch prop (like an H6 or X457) and focus on CG and turn fin setup, as consistency and corner speed usually win timed laps more than top-end speed.
