    AC Model Boats Sport 40's

I have two of them, one brand new in the box. Has anyone used electrics in these boats? I see still in business but no longer sells the hydroplane.

I have two that I’m running, one is a nitro .45 setup, and the other I converted to FE “Q” hydro.
Its 6s with a Neu 1527 and a Castle Hydra Ice 240 esc.

How do they compare to each as far as performance?
I like the way you added walls so there is a waterproof box.
How does that motor compare to the Leopard 4074? I am putting this into a Seaducer 37" mono right now.

I am planning on finishing the seaducer this winter and then do an AC hydro later. Will need to get some setup info!

Sorry I’m not sure about the Leopard motor, the Neu is 1500kv and I run two 6s packs in parallel.
No problem let me know if you need any info.

I have the same AC sport 40 hydro that I got from a buddy after he passed, RIP Geoff. It had a CMB .45 when I got it. The nitro is out of it and I am currently looking for a electric setup for it. I was planning on adapting the old mount to hold an electric, putting the batts up front and figuring out where to put the ESC. I was thinking 8S and running to 4S packs. I was concerned about the possibility of a short run time with this setup but I'm new to the boats and electric drivetrain. Any advice would be appreciated.

I am not working on that one yet. I would just see what other 36" sport 40s or FE “Q” hydros are using and go from there. There is one above.
