Why aren’t F1 tunnel boats popular?

Needless to say I have tunnel fever and I see the F1H2O races they seem pretty exciting. Why aren’t rc boat companies making these hulls as much as cats and monos?

I’m in south Florida. I know these rc f1 boats are super popular in east Asia from what I gathered.

A national championships was just held in Florida. There were two classes of outboard tunnels run. See https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid...58572448198841 for a picture of one class's winners. There are several clubs in Florida that race outboard tunnels.

Ever hear of Dragon Racing F1 Tunnel Hulls?

Beautifully made tunnel hulls designed and manufactured in Australia. You can get a wooden kit and build it yourself, or Kris Flynn (the designer) will do a professional build for a fee. Have had my M-18 since April 2024 I gotta get moving on it lol.

There are a few different hulls below is information directly from the FB Group, italicized words are not mine, directly from the company.

M11 which is 31" long - perfect for 3.5 nitro and 4s FE on calmer to medium waters at racing speeds
M13 which is 33" long - Awsome for 3.5 Mod and Full 4S Fast Electric setups in medium water racing Conditions. Also great for the 7.5 stock/Superstock class in the USA
M18 which is 38" long - Excellent for mod 7.5 nitro motors and full 6S Fast Electric setups in good to poor conditions.

I hope the below link works its to the Facebook page where Kris created an awesome group with really knowledgeable members

You guys. Thank you for this info. I will look into this. I ordered a TFL f1 30” with a gear driven outboard motor. Should arrive very soon I’m super excited. I also picked up a Proboat Valvryn f1 hull. I painted it. I’m not a huge fan of red on the water. It’s not quite done yet.
