    Noiskilling a deep vee?

Does anyone know of a god way to silence the noise from the boat in an easy way?

I am running a deep vee 32" that is screaming like a wolf

Is there some sort of noiskilling tape/paint that i can use?

    Or other tips?

    Hope you can help.

most of the noise come from the prop blade hiting the water... remove the prop!

Most likely the noise is coming from the drive line. A misalignment usually is the cause. Plus make sure you grease the drive cable. Start by adjusting the motor slightly and check it under power on the bench.

driveline or bearing noise gets my vote, disconnect the motor from the shaft and turn the shaft and see if its noisy, same with the motor

Maybe post a video or a sound clip so we can assist in what the noise is?

To clear one thing out, i love the sound of a screaming brushless boat

But at the lake where i use this boat there has been a complaint from one of my neighbours

So i will try to make this boat as quiet as possible.

                    Here is the sound!

ah man i wouldn't call that loud, as for getting it quieter, you could try lining the inside of the boat with neoprene, you can get it, I use it to line the hopper of my paintball gun so it doesn't make noise when the paintballs rattle.

Whats your shaft lube like? maybe a oiler dispensing oil slowly might quieten it down a little..

for bl set-ups, most of the noise generated can be traced to 3 sources; unbalanced drive coupler, flex whip, prop noise. motors are fairly quiet by themselves(usually)...not alot you can do about prop noise aside from a) submerging it b)turning it slower. flex cables tend to be somewhat noisy(best you can do is keep it lubed). at this point I would guess that some damping material glued to the inside of the hull might help some.

this is just normal! you can put any oil any grease any thrust bearing, THE PROP SPINS AT 30000+RPM SO EVERY TIME A BLADE HITS THE WATER SURFACE IT MAKES NOISE

Best bet - next time you know the old bitty is home have a friend with a gas boat come over and run for a couple of hours!

Your boat will sound absolutely silent!

                              Someone's complaining about that?!?
That lake must be silent when you're not there.
I've had to deal with this on Lake Washington, within 1/4 mi. of the 1:1 hydro pits...
Is there a local sound ordinance? even if there is, you are not exceeding acceptable decibel levels...I'm a sound engineer, I'd guess your boat is barely bumping 60db at the shore.
The more you put in the boat, the quieter it'll be. So fill empty spaces with floatation. The impact foam from FMA works great for sound dampening.

Realistically, the best way to deal with the complaint is to talk about it with the complainant and be as humble and understanding as possible, and work out a good time for you to run that interferes with them the least.
If they won't budge on it, and/or you want to run whatever they say, there probably isn't anything they can legally do unless there are already laws prohibiting RC boating on the lake (which there are in parts of Lake Wash.). I'd also advise proactively contacting the authorities yourself and eloquently inquiring about your options/the laws regarding RC boating in the area (if any exist) before they have to waste their time to come out and talk to you because of a complaint...also let them know it is an electric boat.
