100% no, stay away from that boat. This was a huge article here on OSE. Save your money and get a ul-1 or a vac-u-pickle.

This is where they order all their boats from http://www.fuyuanrc.com/en/detail.asp?id=15013. Everything they have the order from China and stick their name on it.

Their was a thread about 400 post long about these boats that's since been removed. Long story short save your money.

Your way better off getting a ul-1 http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...od=dh-aqua-ul1 which would smoke their boat anyway. High 40s if properly set up.

I found the 400 page thread but outside insults and a few jokes it has little info.
I've see their "stage 4" or what ever KB45 for $200 (what a joke) but as far as running hardware I didn't see any good posts. Probably no one actually bought one.
I like the way the full looks outside in that hydro, but as you said it just comes out of china and they replace stickers. Might as well order directly.
I don't like UL-1 tendency to submerge as I've see on many videos and posts titled "UL-1 likes to be a sub".
I think I'll either get it directly from China or just wait for a good deal on a used Elam.

Hydro's sub, its part of being as low as you can go. So its not just the Ul-1. The large you go and the higher the freeboard, the less subing.

G-Freak is headed in the right direction. Its just a matter of what there mods are worth to you and cutting threw some of the hype they try to put out.

Friend has Elam and it seems to be ok, can get up and go from standing still with no tendency to go under. With UL-1 I see so many just go under from standing still. Maybe it is bad drivers but videos like this discourage me from the purchase. I could be soooo wrong though :)
I love comments on RC groups who say they have a dive competition with UL-1 :)

That's only on starts to get on plane it's not that big of deal. When you strut is properly set and with the right prop it jumps on plane. I dont have that problem like I use too.

If you tap the throttle and let it go under then bounch back, as soon as it bounces back nail the throttle and it will get up. Or just nail the throttle from the gate. Problem is people ease on the throttle let it go under and get mad. Just hammer it and hold on.

I run a larger motor (7xl) which is actually prob too big for the boat (depending who you ask), but I need my weight as forward as possible because the boat has tendency to get airborne, it also reduces the chine walk my boat gets sadly speed slighly suffers, but I'm still running in the 50s.

Agree 100%, with limited knowledge available some time the last part is very difficult or expensive if you go by trying them all :)

Luckly their are sites like this too help. With research and few questions asked it makes things a little easier. Im finding out that 9/10 times I have a question some one on this site has a great answer to help you get it right or to not waste your money. Other forums I have been too have the "I learned the hardway, so you go figure out the answer" moto which makes it harder to learn and move forward and not waste money. This site people are willing to share their knowledge and their errors so others can learn from their experiences.
