what about a brushed motor like this:It spins 20k@18volts can easily take up to 30 volt 6 s should be good on it'and int the appropriate rpm range to run a 50 mm prop. I have no clue about specifics like IO or internal resistance.I just know its big has nmb bearings(good stuff) an internal cooling fan and all kinds of torque.It a panasonic industrial tool motor.

You honestly think so? Im gonna buy the screamer or scorpion i was just hoping for cheap power in a future "light" 1/8th scale build.Anythings worth a try I guess. I can get a 6mm coupler and load this can in my dumas circus and see. A brushed package with a lipo-capable brushed speed control is what ive been thinking about for cheap reliable power. Ive been modeling 20+ years and Im still not convinced that brushed is totally dead.Brushed motor magnets in most cases do much better with heat as well.The only problem with trying this motor is i need a water cooling coil around the motor. I dont have my ks bender anymore, Somebody stole it.

you will need 10s to get good rpm out of that motor and a BIG esc
I've thought about using one of those 11XL motors in my Baja 5B on 6s and 8s

Well i was hoping just to ask questions to get real data on them. Look at all this useless chatter. Im not going to get in a debate. Whomever wants to go the negative route you do that. The stupid question is the one you dont ask. Im not sold on anything but there are mixed reviews on the motor im trying to find the truth. Now Steve i have a feigao they aint all that but throw some numbers at me for fun. Anyone ever run one in a 43 inch boat . @ what cell count? What prop did they use? Whats the lowest kv version you have? Whats max amp draw? Whats max power continuous output.See My issue is people get caught up in brand names. I deal with it everyday in my car stereo shop;Which in that case is stupid cause 80-90% of all the equipment reguardless of the brand is manufactured at the same place API.I have every reason to believe the same stuff goes on as it applies to electronics in our world of rc boating.

I'm not sure how else to say it. REAL sales and returns data shows that there is a good chance that if you buy one it may be a poor performer. If you choose to think that its rude that I tell you that, I'm not sure what else to say.

I agree Feigao isnt all that. But they are a good bang for the buck. AND DEFINITELY a few steps up from KB. I wouldn't pick a feigao 580 for that boat. I would look at the Scorpion or others Asian outrunners.

Its ose's formal opinion that the kb motor is a poor performer.Got it.If anyone noticed I was trying to get away from a 200 dollar motor that everyone is talking about. I remember when the consensus was that outrunners were no good for boats now look . You guys change everyday.LOL FYI my cheap 550df outrunner is was more efficient and smoother that that fiegao . Price 550df-30$ feigao 6xl 60+ dollars. go figure.

When I wanted my feigao the consensus was that they were cheap chinese garbage. Exactly the same things were said about that motor. Now its the thing to have.I may just buy the screamer which was no good either for my scale so they say then some say it is.Its all crap. Ima put a rs380 in the scale and be done with it lol
