Windshield decal for Whiplash

I need to make a windshield for my whiplash and was wondering if anyone has a template or suggestion on where to get a windshield decal?

I just play with paper until it sits well and then transfer to trim sheet.

I use a fine line masking tape in 1/8, once you are happy with the tape go around it with 1/4 fine line tape. Then a simple mask off and shoot the colour you want. I have found this easier than trying to make templates.

Do you sand first? What paint type/brand?
