Just wondering if Integy batteries are any good?? I'm looking at a getting a set of Intellect 5000mah NIMH's packs, can anyone tell me how they compare to Duratrax DTX NIMH's cells, better or worse? Thanks.

Cool, good to know! I was just looking at the Integy web site and they say not to use more than a 0.5a charge rate?? I usually charge my DTX's (3800's and 4600's) at around 3.0-3.4a charge rate, why so low for the Intellects??Comment

Yeah i hear about it all the time but i have a few reasons why i don't go lipo. First of all, whenever i look into lipo's i have no clue what i'm looking at, 2c, 4s ect. Second, my charger, Superbrain 977, will charge Lipo's but i've read on these forums that it's not a very good lipo charger, plus it does not balance them. So i'd basically have to get another charger with a balancing feature from what i've read. Also, i actually perfer the extra weight of the NiMh's becuase i don't run my (2) boats on a small calm pond, i run on a 22 mile long lake that when it does get calm enough to run an RC boat, there is still a bit of a rolling affect on the water, makes keepin my SV27 on it's top side challenging but fun if i'm carefull with the throttle (think real 1:1 scale offshore racing). Plus i'm not sure if i want the extra safety concerns with Lipo's, i know what i'm doin with NiMh's, Lipo's on the other hand, not at all. I think about biting the bullet and goin Lipo all the time but for what i'm doin with my boats it's not really nescisary. Maybe someday....Originally posted by Doby View PostComment
